SIGNO values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the SIGNO mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

Email address
Authentication information including Sign in with Apple. When using Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your real email address.
Encrypted or hashed passwords

User Content

Custom sign images uploaded by you
Assigned meanings or labels
Learning progress
Module completion status
Practice history

Usage Data

We may store limited usage data required to operate core app features such as progress tracking, personalization, and account management.

2. How We Use Information

Create and manage user accounts
Save learning progress
Store custom signs and assigned meanings
Provide translation and learning features
Improve overall app functionality and user experience

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

SIGNO uses Supabase as a backend infrastructure provider to securely store and manage user data. Supabase processes data solely to provide backend services such as database storage, authentication, and file storage required for the app to function.

4. Data Security

Passwords are stored in encrypted or hashed form and are never stored in plain text. We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect user information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

User data is retained while the account remains active.

Users can permanently delete their account directly within the SIGNO mobile application by navigating to:

Profile → Account Management → Delete Account

Once an account is deleted, all associated user data is permanently removed from our systems.

6. Children's Privacy

SIGNO is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected without appropriate parental consent, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
